Which of these two is Nigeria’s major export - Human Resources or Crude oil?
Nigerians are the fastest growing immigrant in the world.
Over 5000 Nigerian doctors are practicing in the USA, 600 in Canada and 6000 in the UK. These numbers does not include the current numbers of medical practitioners leaving Nigeria daily.
One of the main reasons for this is massive emigration is due to lack of opportunities and poor pay.
It was discovered that Nigerian doctors abroad have been well trained in their home countries before emigrating. According to a research by PWC, Nigerian doctors living abroad have been able to send up to 83% of the entire Nigeria budget back to Nigeria.
It was said that money sent home from abroad had surpass the revenue Nigeria made from crude oil in the last 2years.

I think Human Resources is Nigeria’s major export, a lot of people have lost hope in this country and sadly mostly youths, people just want to leave… I mean we have not done anything right.

Human Resources is the major export and the government doesn’t care about it because they do not know the implication. Nigerians are practically living in every known part of the world either the country is better than Nigeria or not. And this is because of bad governance in Nigeria.
